The layout I am sharing today was part of a Simple Scrapper Stash Bash Challenge. I participated in a Blind Scrap, where a list of “rules” were made and I was to create a layout that met all of them.
The first rule was to use a sketch or layout that was from 2008 or older. I found a sketch in an old Scrapbooks Etc. magazine from 2007.
Next 3 rules have to do with the paper. The back ground had to be black, white or black and white. We had to use a text print and a scrap piece of paper.
I used the Design Story stamp to stamp the text to create one of the required papers. I also used another stamp for the sticker embellishment.
The scraps were used to back the sun cut file.
Adding texture to an edge was on the list of rules. I used my distress tool on the edge of the pink mat to add texture.
Another rule was to use two different type faces for the title. I used an acrylic word from a Scrapbook and Cards Today Sampler Kit as well as a chipboard piece from the Design Story Kit from Ali Edwards.
Using at least 3 flat stickers was part of the challenge. I wound up using 6- 3 labels, 3 suns.
More rules were to use a stamp set that had 2 or more circles and use at least one on a layout. The Yay stamp was an Elle’s Studio+Creative Bubble Summer stamp set.
I used a cut file from Paige Evans on the base layer.
Love how this came together and happy to use some things from my stash I would not have otherwise without the challenge! Thanks for looking!
