This layout was inspired my the Up Story Kit by Ali Edwards. There is a stamp that says make up but I am not entirely sure if it was intended for this meaning.
This story felt like a 31 Things prompt and so it is no surprise that I had a lot to say on the topic.
When I was working through Simple Scrappers’ Square One class and I was presented with a sketch that had space for a 6x12 sized photo, my brain went to the Simple Stories collections that had the 6x12 cut aparts that had journaling space. I then followed the sketch pretty closely.
Since I started with a Simple Stories paper pad, I tried to find elements in the cut a parts and patterns that I could use to embellish. I leaned into the florals. The title I created using the Up story Stamp word using black ink and clear embossing powder on vellum as well as layering a stamp from the Make Story Stamp in black layered with red embossing powder.
The labels came from a cut a part and I stamped with other stamps from my stash. To repeat the vellum, I pinched 2 circles and placed them in a visual triangle as a base for clusters.
