December Daily- Day 13, 2013

  This is my layout for Day 13.

For this day, I created my own journaling card, using a grid 4x6 paper. I stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder and embellished with other stamps in the same Studio Calico December Daily stamp set. Used the thin gold washi tape and sprinkled a few of the enamel dots lso included in the kit.

For the second page, I used a 4x6 card as well as strips of other paper and the gold paper clip, included in the SC kit.

The top pocket of the page protector I did a similar technique that Ali Edwards used in her December Daily album with some of the kit supplies, as well as my tiny attacher from Tim Holtz.

December Daily- Day 14, 2013

This is my layout for Day 14:

This layout includes a 4x6 see-through element from the previous page. This was inspired by one of Ali Edwards' layouts using the Studio Calico December Daily kit.

Created two photo collages for these pages using PSE.

For the second page I used the striped paper from the Studio Calico December Daily kit as well as the paper clip number.

This was a scrapbook class/party with a Charlie Brown Christmas theme and they gave out a mini Charlie Brown Christmas scrapbook kit that came with stickers and paper. Used them to create the title and embellishments on this page.

December Daily- Day 17, 2013

This is my layout for Day 17.

My MIL gives us new ornaments with our names on them every year. This day, I decided to highlight what she picked out for us this year.

Simple but done. 

Used the paper clip and paper from the SC December Daily kit and a label sticker from October Afternoon's Very Merry Christmas line.

December Daily- Day 11, 2013

This is my layout for Day 11.

I know, it took me forever to complete and post. It is now January 6, 2014, almost a month after this day. 

Lots of stuff derailed me from finishing this project on time.

The first of which was sickness. First my daughter got sick and that meant I lost my crafty time. It also meant I lost time to finish the shopping for gifts, finalizing things for Christmas parties and more.

Then #2, I got a little sick. Nothing horrible but enough for me to want more sleep.

#3 There was the time I volunteered at my son's school for his class parties. (yes, more than one.)

#4 Once the parties were done, the kids were both home for break and we were in the throng of the holiday. 

I am not trying to stress too much about it and just finish it up.

For this layout, I created a vellum label using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix die. Used the Simple Stories Christmas alpha stickers for the title and subtitle.

For this page, I used the Studio Calico transparent card in the first pocket and created my own journaling card for the second using a label from October Afternoon Very Merry label sticker sheet and the tiny gold striped washi tape that came in the Studio Calico December Daily kit. The third had my photo with another label sticker, and a word sentiment from the Simple Stories stickers and enamel dots included in the SC DD kit.

December Daily- Day 12, 2013

This is my layout for Day 12:

For this day, I focused on the Christmas movies we had and plan to watch this season. I also added a bit about the Holiday episodes of the kids favorite shows. 

The supplies used on this page came from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. Added some Simple Stories alpha stickers and a bit of red foil paper cut to make a star. 

You can see in the second pocket that there is a transparent card from the previous day showing through. 

My daughter finally went back to school today! I will finally have some time to focus on finishing up this project! 

I am ready to be done with Christmas and play with my new scrappy gifts!

December Daily- Day 10, 2013

So I am not 100% done with this layout. It is missing the journaling. I am going to hand write it under the photo on the right page. 

I used the silver glitter ribbon included in the Studio Calico kit to border the ticket stub from the event in the first pocket. Then I used the speech bubble thicker from the kit to embellish the first photo.

On the second page, I used my favorite piece of patterned paper included in the kit. Added the photo, more glitter ribbon and topped it off with the paper clip on blue cardstock to match the ticket.

Combination of sick kid at home and busy weekend, trying to catch up! Gotta get my photos organized and printed to make any progress. Here's to hoping!

December Daily- Day 9, 2013

Here is my layout for December 9th.

The kids wrote their letters to Santa Claus. 

Used Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet for the title as well as the white Basic Grey alphas.

Used washi tape as a border on the journaling card. Used the paper clip from the Studio Calico kit.

Stamped Tis the Season from this stamp set.

Simple and done!
