Wild Hair

Here is a layout that I did using the MyMindsEye Alphabet Soup collection. I had bought paper for the boy and girl color scheme but only bought the deck of cards for the boy. It matched both well, enough.

Used some AC Thickers for the title and used some wire that I found in my stash and bent it into the word   "hair." It was white wire, so I sprayed it with some spray ink (Glimmer Mist, I believe) to give it some color. It beaded up and didn't hold the color very well, so I  let it dry and repeated this a couple of  times. Used a journaling block from Cosmo Cricket.

Haven't been scrapping much lately. Been sick and trying to get my photos, kits and supplies organized for Just Kitting's Snoopy crop that I am attending that is sold out.

Since my favorite photo developer is gone (www.scrapbookpictures.com) I am trying out Persnickety Prints. I will let you know what I think. They just posted some free Photoshop photo templates to download that I am going to snatch up! Photo templates are going to be my new thing, I think. Just bought a set from Kerri Bradford and Lily Pad. Needed them to replace me being able to order the small unique sizes from scrapbookpictures.

Happy Birthday Card

On Basic Grey's blog there is a challenge posted to use up your scraps. Here is a card I made using up some of the scraps I had sitting on my table after putting together a layout.

I used some white cardstock and inked the edges with black soot Distress Ink. Cut "v"s on the ends of some strips of paper I had left over from another project from the Little Black Dress Collection and inked those edges as well.
I had bought the Cuttlebug quilling flower die a while ago and finally pulled it out to play with and made the flower. The die uses strips of paper to cut and quill. I loved how the flower turned out, I just didn't expect how bulky the flower was going to be. This is going to be a hand delivered card, so I don't have to worry about it fitting into an envelope.
Cut some leaves free hand and inked the edges. Placed a button in the center of the flower with a glue dot.
Stamped the sentiment from a Stampin' Up stamp set.

Scarecrow Alley

I made this layout using a favorite kit from Just Kitting. A lot of fussy cutting, but SO worth it!

The added "straw" was the perfect touch and texture to this layout!

The kit had a pre cut title, Corn Maze, and had corn stalks to go with it, but since we were in Cali and they had sunflowers instead, I die cut my own title using a Quickutz alpha using two colors and using one as a shadow.

"Helping" with the laundry

Here is a kit that I completed from Plays Well With Paper Kits.  Her layout turned out a bit different from mine. Check it out here.

This is a layout of my son at 9.5 months old. Got into a basket of laundry (all jeans) I had set down. This layout was looking a little flat, but it was so photo heavy I didn't want to add too much more. I found an old pair of jeans that 5 year old Aaron had torn a hole in the knee and die cut flowers out of it using the Tim Holtz tattered flowers die by Sizzix.

Used the Thickers and some Girls Paperie alpha stickers for the title. I am really liking the titles using multiple fonts, sizes, colors, etc lately.

I used a Technique Tuesday stamp to put the journaling lines and added the sentiment at the top.

Clownin' Around and Having a Ball

Trying to get through a stack of pages in progress in my scrap space.  Here is a layout I recently made and completed.

I was going through my stash and found some BoBunny paper and stickers that I had bought over 4 years ago. I thought it was about time that they made it on a page.

Made my own scalloped edge tracing a couple of different circle punches and cutting it out. Used some Technique Tuesday stamps to create the date tag.
