Project Life July 9-15

This is my Project Life layout for July 9-15.

This week's layout is mostly photos and words. Used my title card as inspiration for the color scheme for this layout. All of this weeks journaling cards come from the Cobalt edition of Becky Higgins' Project Life kit.

Used some Washi tape from MME that says the days of the week. Loving that tape. the letters are grey so it will be very versatile. Stamped the heart using a Technique Tuesday stamp set from Ali's. Not sure which one because there are quite a few that have this type of heart.
Used my manual die cut machine with the Lemonade alpha font from Quickutz for the letters for Highlights. Used this stamp to add the days of the week to my computer journaling.
Used this stamp set for the tab after cutting up another matching title card for the top strip on the 3rd card using a Fiskars postage stamp border punch.
Used this stamp set on the photo of my daughter's picnic.
Used Sn@p alpha stickers for the last photo

Used this stamp set from Technique Tuesday.
Used the new Amy Tan date stamp from the Ready Set Go collection as well as a stamp from the new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.
Used a label from the Sn@p collection

The float trip journaling card isn't complete yet. Have to get some of the details from my husband.

Another week done!

Fall Fun

A friend of mine, Colleen, started teaching classes at her local scrapbook store and designs pages for them monthly. She gifted a couple of them to me.

This is one of her kits that I created of hers. I will link you to the store she is currently teaching for that has an online store as well. Hopefully they will post all of her kits for purchase for her soon.

Little bits I added were the journaling boxes. I used this Technque Tuesday stamp as well as the celebrate fall sentiment from this set.

The leaves were a technique she taught in class using coffee filters and distress ink and then die cut with the tattered leaves Tim Holtz die. I would have loved to have been in the class learning this technique, but being halfway across the country, couldn't really do that.

This photo of my daughter is one of my favorites of all time. So happy to get this one on a scrapbook page to share!

Fall is my favorite season. Love the cool, crisp weather, the crunchy leaves. Love Halloween and helps my birthday is in the fall! Had fun taking my camera out on this day to get some really great and fun photos! The self portrait of me isn't the best, but I never appear in most layouts or photos, so I went with it.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life Week July 2-8

This is my Project Life spread for July 2nd through the 8th.

For this week I decided since it was the week of the Fourth of July, I would cut the date strip I had already stamped and create a new title card that was red, white and blue themed. I had a handful of patriotic themed products left over from layouts and projects that I used to create these pages.

I believe the title card paper and other coordinating pieces are Bo Bunny from a couple years ago. I used a Studio Calico Two Peas exclusive stamp set for the circle days of the week. Used a Technique Tuesday circle stamp from an old Ali Edwards Christmas set and punched it out.  I was surprised at how much it looked like the red label sticker I used on the next page from the Sn@p collection! Used another Ali Edwards stamp "love this" as well as I heart this. Used a label sticker from the Sn@p Collection as well as the alpha stickers.

For this page used an old 4th of July stickers from one of those sticker a day calendar sets. Used more Sn@p stickers as well as a BG alpha.

I have been finding myself using the the pieces or back of my Project Life Core kit cards to cut up and stamp and journal on. Before she updated the kits, the back of the journaling cards were lined. They are great to create my own customized journaling cards.

This week seemed to be easy to put together. Don't know if it was because I had an easy color scheme or theme or I had gotten better about writing more details of the week down so had more content to pick from.

Hoping to get another one on the books this week to make up for me most likely not getting anything done next week during my daughters spring break. Starting to worry about what that is going to mean for the summer time! I am just going to have to schedule some "me" time to work on it I guess.

Project Life Week June 25 - July 1

Here is my Project Life Week June 25 through July 1st.

Been quite happy how I have been able to knock out quite a few pages in a short amount of time! Don't know if I am going to be able to keep the same momentum going the next couple of weeks.

My 6 year old son is on spring break next week, but I am hoping that he will want to craft with me some days while my younger is in school.

My daughter has her spring break the following week and I don't expect to get much of anything done then.

The title card, yet again was the driving force for the color scheme. Limiting myself to these colors has been helping me make faster choices.

Used quite a bit from the Cobalt core kit for this week. Also used alpha stamps from Studio Calico and Stampin' Up! The "smile" stamp is from a Studio Calico exclusive stamp set at Two Peas in a Bucket. Used an Ali Edwards stamp "adventure" and used a marker to write in a "s". Doodled a frame on the Grape smile card. Used some Lily Bee alpha stickers on the hawk picture and a Sn@p label on the other photo.

For this page I used some snowmen my kids colored to fill in one of the 4x6 slots. Used some more Cobalt core kits journaling cards and added some green paper on two of them so it was obvious they went together.
Used some Sn@p alpha and label stickers on the photos.

Stamped the frame on the "Quoted" card using the same Studio Calico stamp set as the smile. Quoted came from another SC stamp set.
Made a mask for the last journaling card and stamped a Studio AE stamp from a couple years back and used the days of the week stamps from another Ali Edwards 2011 date stamp set.

Glad to be in July! Halfway point for 2012! Hoping I can keep the momentum going!

Project Life- Week Jun 18-24

Here is another Project Life layout for Jun 18-24.

The color scheme was driven by the title card again on this one, using the Cobalt core kit.
Found some printables from Simple Stories that I had in my stash that matched the red orange and went with it for this week.

Used a lot of Lily Bee alpha stickers, Technique Tuesday stamps including the newest Studio AE set. Used Simple Stories Sn@p alpha stickers as well.

I happened to have these eyelet looking brads in my stash that happened to be a perfect color match, so I went for it on the first photo of the clover. Used a new stamp set from Teresa Collins for the calendar. Circled the dates for this week for a "filler" card.

Inked only the "a day at the" from a retired Ali Edwards stamp set along with the word "pool" from a really old Studio AE set. The pool word was a finer print than the rest so I double stamped it once in the red orange color so it looked more intensional.  Cut the strip into a banner and outlined it with a marker.

Used Distress Ink on the clover love card, a Cobalt journaling card, since all of the Simple Stories journaling cards were more of a cream based card.

Thanks for checking out another completed PL page.

Project Life Week Jun 4 thru 11

Here is another completed Project Life spread!

I have found myself letting go of a bit of the perfectionist in me when finishing these layouts. I see my album half done, missing their stories and I am trying on focusing on making progress instead of "perfect layouts".

For this week I stuck with a purple and green color scheme. I used Basic Grey alpha stickers, Ali Edward stamps from many sets, an Amy Tangerine stamp (house) as well as the date stamp, Lily Bee alphas, and some some Studio Calico stamps.

I ran out of room for a quote from my son so I just added it to my title card for this week.

Having trouble stamping on photo. My first problem is that I think my black Stazon ink pad is going dry. Second, I have trouble keeping the stamp from sliding on the photo. Good enough that you can read it, though.

I am loving how this week in review journaling card turned out. I ran the card through my printer after figuring out how much space was needed for the stamped words. Then I added the dot pattern from an Ali Edwards Christmas stamp set.

This week has an insert that I didn't photograph. It is a program and photo from my niece's dance recital.

Thanks for looking! Hope to share more soon!

Project LIfe May 28-Jun 03 2012

With my December Daily completed and my 31 Things Album completed, it leaves Project Life and Madeline's baby album to finish up.

I went on a weekend long crop with my sister and friends and worked on finishing my December Daily, worked on some layouts and started my 2013 Project Life album.

I know what you are thinking. What happened to 2012's Project Life album?!

I had left it at early May. There were some things in those weeks that had some personal stuff I didn't want to share, so they never got posted even though they were completed.

Mind you while the complete pages stopped mid May, I had stayed on top of journaling, (starting in Aug, used Oh Life.com) and selecting, editing and ordering photos up until Mid February with the exception of the last week of Dec. for some reason got lost in the shuffle.

At the crop, my long time scrapping buddy, Kelly (check out her blog) and I decided that we do better with a bit of motivation to stay "caught up" or at least completing pages.

She got up to 2013 after starting the project in August. Way to go Kelly! This has motivated me to put this a priority when I get into my scrap space. Trying to complete at least one layout a week so that at least I am not creating a bigger backlog for myself.

So I have been hard at work! Here is May 28-Jun 3 2012.

For this you will see that I have broken out of the Core kit box and playing with more products. I am enjoying the process more by doing this, so you will be seeing more things not part of the kit. I have taken the idea that the title cards which have all be stamped with the dates already, will drive the color scheme for the most part. Then I will fill in with what I already have in my stash.

I used a TON of Technique Tuesday Studio AE stamps as well as other Ali Edward stamp sets on this spread. I have all of my stamps out when creating and search for things to fill in spots.

For this page, I used Simple Stories Sn@p label stickers as well as some sayings from the alpha sticker set. Used an old Quickutz alpha to cut the makeover title and used the positive and negative space.
Used some Studio Calico stamps that are exclusive to Two Peas for the frame around the fox and the memo stamp.
Also used Ali's stamps for the days of the week.
Also used some washi from my stash. I love my washi tapes!

This first year of this project has been a learning experience. Finding what works and doesn't work for me so that I am successful.

Things that are working are keeping up with the journaling, taking plenty of photos, and laying out what each week looks like. Even if I don't have the time or in the mood to scrap, I won't forget anything and most of the planning is done for me.

There were some things I wanted to change about what I was doing for 2013. I am printing white borders around all of my 4x6 photos and not rounding corners for the items in the 4x6 slots. It will save me some time and I like the look better.

I am also moving forward NOT using a Becky Higgins core kit. I didn't like forcing myself to use product that I am not that into. I got bored with it before half the year was out.

Thanks for looking! More weeks to come soon.
