Currently Aaron @ 8

I have another current favorites page to share with you today. This one is for Aaron at 8 years old.

For this layout, I decided to dive into my stash and find some old goodies. The first I ran across was the red number die cut paper. Not too entirely sure who made this paper, but I have had it in my stash for way too long!

Going with the red paper, I looked through my SEI stash and came upon one that had his favorite colors (orange and blue) and graphic, great for a boy.

I used to subscribe to SEI kits back when Aaron was a baby after attending a class by them at a local scrapbook convention. They were a great value, but I never used anywhere near what I bought from them. Trying to use it or it is time to let this 12 year old stash go!

Some of the embellishments that came with this kit were chipboard circles that you can see I used as a border strip down the page as well as a 12x12 sheet of tags, ribbon, and circle alpha/number stickers.

To emphasize his age with in the die cut paper, I used a black marker and outlined the eights that appeared on the page. I also layered some stickers, a chipboard circle, and enamel dots and stars from my stash.

For my title, I used the Title Builder stamp set from Elle's Studio and embossed with white embossing powder. I created little banners with all of the different current favorites (@8, anyway) that I had typed using my type writer.

I used another stamp from Ali Edwards from her story stamp subscription to heat emboss with white powder on a tag. Found a black leather like Thicker in my stash for the title along with some Simple Stories tile alpha stickers.

Loved using up some old stash, some new stamps and creating this page! So fun!

Thanks for checking it out!

Maddie's Baby Album - Your Arrival

Today I have one of the last pages in Maddie's Baby Album to share with you.

I struggled with the composition of this one, but gained some inspiration for this one on Pinterest. I searched for Becky Higgins' baby kit and some pages utilizing her kit were pinned there!

Most of the supplies for this 2 page layout are from Becky Higgins baby kit. There is a 3x4 card and a small banner from the baby collection from Photo Play. I also dove through my baby supplies stash and found an iridescent velum that had a baby quilt pattern that I used as a layer under border of turtles. Figured there would never be a "perfect" project or page for it and just went for it.

Used a chipboard title block from the kit and embellished with some of the epoxy stickers also in the kit. Another chipboard piece was used on the second page of the pocket for some repetition.

You can see here the velum was torn to give an added texture to the page.

Used this Photo Play 3x4 cut apart card here and embellished with another epoxy sticker.

And there you have it. Another layout done for Maddie's album. Only a few more pages to share and this album is complete!

Thanks for looking!

Maddie's Baby Album - Expecting You

I haven't been the best at blogging lately. I have been creating, though, so I finally have some pages that I have finished up and to share with you.

I actually have finished my December Daily for 2017 in record time, but I haven't photographed the pages yet to share. On my list of things to do....

I had a big photo order placed for my December Daily and pages that I have journaling for, etc, so I finally got some of the missing photos from Maddie's Baby Album printed. My goal is to finish this album up before the new baby comes!

This layout is called Expecting You. I had a pregnancy photo shoot done right before Maddie was born and added some pictures of the ultrasounds that I had done though out the pregnancy to put on this 2 page layout.

Most of the paper and supplies I used for this are from Becky Higgin's Baby kit from 2008. I mixed in a few stickers and paper pieces from a newer baby collection from Photo Play that colors matched perfectly.

To add some layers to the tab on the patterned paper, I added some tabs of my own, tracing the shape of the original and cutting them out. I also used an Exacto knife to cut out the title tab to be able to place the other tabs under it.

I used some Ali Edwards stamps on the tabs as well as some stickers to embellish.

The Becky Higgins kit came with journaling pockets for the journaling prompts. I used some chipboard and enamel stickers from the kit to embellish this so it wasn't so flat.

On this side of the layout, I wanted to repeat the tab theme so I used some stamps and stickers to add to these tabs as well.

I found a Project Life card in my stash that was the perfect color for this layout and layered some stickers with it.

Using a border strip from the Photo Play cut apart sheet, as well as a chipboard border strip, I created a bit of a shelf for my photos to rest. I also created another smaller shelf with border punch and scalloped border sticker from Photo Play.

Glad to have these details in Maddie's Baby album and glad to be nearing the end of this project!
Thanks for stopping by!
