You Don’t Scare Me

Here is another layout that was designed by my friend Tami. Her version of the layout is here.

This layout uses some Quikcutz dies that are the retro shapes. I thought this layout, its' colors, and design worked really well with these photos of Sulley and my mom and me.

I also found some Heidi Swapp acetate words that worked well with the photos and added just enough to the clusters.

I also had some plastic pieces that I had found at Tuesday Morning that were the same colors as the layout and added just the right finishing touch.

Created a bit of pho-zigzag stitching around some of the patterned paper for added detail. Love how this one turned out! Love these photos. He has been one of my favorite characters to meet.

Thanks for looking! Hope to share more here soon!

Wishing Well and Grotto

As I was going through my pile of unfinished layouts, I realized that quite a few were Disney layouts. With my limited time in scrapbooking, I found the Disney ones lower on my priority list. As I go back to finish them, I am finding there is great joy in the making and looking at these pages!

The layout I am sharing today is another page designed by Tami Bastaains.

This layout gave me fits about feeling finished. Adding the ribbon and flowers helped, as well as the block of journaling. I also added &Grotto to the title more recently. Luckily I managed to find the same Sizzix alphabet font to cut as well as scraps of the cardstock I used to create the original.

Today I probably would have created the title differently, but this is good enough and lovely and tells the story. Glad to have another page in progress complete and in my albums!

Thanks for looking! Have a few more Disney pages that were in progress to share soon, so stop back by to check them out!

4-Alarm Kid

Another layout in progress that has finally been completed to share with you today!
The base layout was designed by Tami Bastiaans. Here is her completed layout with the same foundation.

To embellish this layout, I dipped into my stash of wood veneer. Found the asterisks, from Project Life, I believe and the bigger pieces from Elle's Studio.

My son, in helping me limit my choices, selected the Sizzix Font for the title and helped me cut it out.
Sprinkled some Mickey heads punched from red cardstock to cluster with the wood veneer.

For this layout, I opted to get my Cricut out and create the Pluto and the fire hydrant. This only happens on extremely rare occasions, me feeling the need to use my Cricut. I happened to have that complete in the second phase of this layout, and have no idea how long ago.

For the journaling, I repeated the shape from the sign on the left hand page by hand cutting the shape and embellishing with eyelets.

Love to have this join the other completed pages in my Disneyland albums. Funny how things I have now and are into using are making it on these older layouts that would not have had the added touches back then.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to have a few more pages to share soon!
