Project Life April 14-20, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for April 14-20, 2014.

This week I went with a rose colored theme. There is an insert this week. It was a busy week with lots of Easter celebration.

I found this really cute (and free) bunny digital stamp by searching Pinterest. Thought it was perfect for this week's card. Found some pink flowers from my digital stash along with a digital brush that says "live, laugh, love."

This spread is all for Easter day. Lots of activities, lots of pictures.

Here is the front of the insert. Getting pretty good at creating my own custom journaling cards with what I already have. I find that limiting my supplies has really helped me feel more creative with the process.

So there it is.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life April 7-13, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for April 7-13, 2014.

I was surprised at how many photos I had to put in this layout. I didn't feel as though I took many.

The fact that 4 came from other sources helps, I guess.

This week I added some embellishments from the Happy Go Lucky digital kit that I found free online. I used the flowers, rickrack, and a digital paper from that collection.

Lots of words this week.

It was a tough week. Didn't know how much to include or not include about the life and death of my grandma. I have had a layout idea in the works for a couple months about her, just never had enough time to work it all out. Hoping to find time to work on it soon.

Thanks for looking.

Project Life- March 31-April 6, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for March 31-April 6, 2014.

This week I went with yellow. It seemed to show up in a handful of photos, so I went with it. This week I scanned some things in to include in this layout. I had a program cover and bridal shower invitation that I wanted to include.  ( I erased some information for privacy.)

Pages seem to be coming together faster since I have a bit of a formula going on. This is helpful when I have had busy weeks with little time to work on them! This has me a bit concerned about how this summer is going to go.

Loving the Currently card. I find it good to mix it up some weeks with a breakdown of every day for some layouts and this kind of journaling for others to be able to include different kinds of information.

So here is another week!

Haven't had any time to work on 2013 album. Was supposed to crop last Saturday with friends and was hoping to get a chunk done there. Just was not meant to be.

Have another digital Project Life page to share with you soon!

Project Life March 24-30, 2014

Here is my digital layout for March 24-30, 2014.

I have been picking a dominant color for every week. I hadn't done a purple shade, so I just went with it for this week.

Used the same Cathy Zielski card as last week, but instead of a shamrock, I used a camera for this one.

Found a facebook journaling card online--another freebie. Hoping the font is readable when printed!

Kept the journaling cards super simple this week. Use an Ali Edwards freebie digital brush "love life."

Another week done and only a week behind!

Hoping to have some paper stuff to share soon!

Project Life- March 11-17, 2013

Here is my layout for March 11-17, 2013.

Went with a green theme this week in honor of St. Patrick's Day. No manufacturer or kit used this week. Just found a handful of matching product.

Title card is made from a 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye. Layered a doily and Simple Stories stickers. The transparent arrows are from Studio Calico.

The "this is the good life" card is one from a Kelly Purkey kit from Simon Says Stamp. Love this card. Inspired the rest of the layout. The woodgrain card is the back of a Dear Lizzy card from the previous week that I decorated with washi and buttons from my stash.

The "Love this" tab is a Studio Calico cut file, my friend cut for me. (Thanks Colleen!)

Layered up a tags and labels for the bottom photos.

The "our everyday" die cut is another cut file from SC that my friend cut for me. Layered up some more labels and tags. Used an Ali Edwards stamp for the "get outside".

The Pope card was folded to fit. It was something my son got from school that week.

The next journaling card are from the PL Cobalt core kit.  Added the some washi to the photo.

My son created the St. Patrick's Day card the during the week for me to showcase in my album. Love this!

This layout took a little more time, since I wasn't working from a set of supplies, but I enjoyed the process. I did have an Amy Tan journaling card that had to get tossed because of an artistic fail. It was a card with sketched arrows along one side that I had water colored. I had printed the journaling too far down, and tried to add stamping to the top to fix it and botched it instead.

Thanks for looking. Hoping to share another layout with you soon!

Project Life - March 4-10, 2013

This is my layout for March 4-10, 2013.

Although I tried being very organized and systematic when I order my photos for this project, there always one or so that falls through the crack. This week had one of those. It is a photo of my kids playing outside and it is now in my photo cart waiting to be ordered.

I had a lot of fun with this week. I used some of the card in one of the Studio Calico Project Life kits. It happened to have some of the Dear Lizzy and Amy Tan cards in it, so I pulled more from those mini kits to fill it out.

I used a  couple of Ali Edwards stamp sets to create the month banner. Heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Used a stamp from a Kelly Purkey set at Simon Says Stamp. Used a Hero Arts shadow ink for the first time. Still can't decide if I like it enough to get more colors.

Label sticker on the first photo is from KI Memories. Used more Ali Edwards stamps for the "his" and "hers" which I also heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Used a Studio Calico transparent arrow on the last journaling card.

Thanks for looking. Hope to share another layout with you soon!
