Project Life - May 4-10, 2015

Here is my Project Life layout for May 4-10, 2015.

For this weeks layout I used This Is Me kit from JB Studio Designs.

Kept the layout pretty simple this week. Photos and words. Embellished the journaling cards a bit more that the last layout I shared.

Had a bit of a shortage of 4x6 photos, so turned one of them into a journaling spot, which ended up being perfect, since I had so much to say instead!

So there you have it! Another week done for my 2015 Project Life album!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life - May 11-17, 2015

The kids are out of school for the summer, so I am trying to squeeze in these pages when I can before the baby comes!

Next week is the start of summer school, so I won't have the younger one home for three weeks, and hope to be able to get more done. We shall see....

Here is my Project Life layout for May 11-17, 2015.

This weeks layout uses the Hello Sunshine kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs. Thought the yellows and blues were a good match for my photos, especially with the Tweety costume!

Kept this page pretty simple. Didn't really feel like embellishing the journaling cards or photos this week.

Found an image from Flicker of the yellow feather for this page. Collages were used for this layout since I had so many photos to tell the stories.

So there you go another week done. We shall see if I can keep it up!
I forsee:
Summer + baby = getting behind

Thanks for looking.

Project Life - January 27-February 2, 2014

So I have done it! I have completed my Project Life 2014 album! Here is the last layout- January 27- February 2, 2014.

For this layout I used the Pretty Little Things kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

So other than the white based title card and journaling cards, I gave into my current design style and just did what worked.

I ended up finding the journaling on my private blog for this week. I was so happy that I did because I would have missed so many details like Aaron's conversation,  Sausage Fest and Superbowl.

So many words and the challenge was again to fit them all in. I compromised with some of the journaling spots, creating sheer labels and just layering the words over the photos and just making space.

Thanks for looking! Will post when I get my physical copy of these layouts! So excited!

Project Life- January 20-26, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for January 20-26, 2014.

For this layout I used some brushes from Traci Reed from Sweet Shoppe Designs as well as a kit called Under the Boardwalk.

It has been very difficult to keep the style of the pages similar to those that I did over a year ago. I kept having to pull them up to see what types of things I did in certain situations. Over all I think I kept this layout pretty minimal, keeping with photos and words.

Mixed up the "style" of page protectors for this week, making that bottom right 4x6 area into two 2x3 to better fit the photos I had for the week.

So there you have it. Another week done for 2014. I only have ONE left!

That is some crazy stuff! Then I have to figure out where and how to print it! So excited!

Project Life- January 13-19, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for January 13-19, 2014.

For this week's layout I used the Something New kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I struggled with this layout because I wanted to get into my current way of designing and putting these pages together. I think I compromised on some of the cards, but I kept them pretty simple with day of the week titles using the CK Becky font.

I did use papers which didn't come in to play until later in the year, but I thought they worked okay for this layout compared to those weeks before and after.

The title card was a bit of a stretch as when it came to my style in the beginning, but I just used what I had in the kit to drive the supplies that I used.

Kept the second pretty basic and pretty happy with how the layout came out over all.

So there you have it. Only TWO weeks for 2014 to go!

Project Life - January 6-12, 2014

Here is my layout for January 6-12, 2014.

This week was a major challenge. I had SO many photos and SO much to say! I didn't think this week warranted an insert, so I piled it all in.

In keeping with the style of the early PL page I created for 2014, the title card base was white with a bit of embellishing.

Most of the "pockets" for this week contain photos with words overlaid directly on top. I edited the journaling quite a bit, but there was a ton to work with and I had a hard time cutting.

The photo collage template for the bottom left 4x6 is one from Studio Calico's Day by Day class. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in this class. I had never taken one by Studio Calico, and I just didn't get out of it what I had hoped. I was happy with the stamps and digital goodies I did get, though.

Most of the supplies comes from Only You kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

More photos and words with minimal added.

And there you have it. Another week done for 2014.
3 to go!

Project Life- April 27-May 3, 2015

Here is my Project Life layout for April 27- May 3, 2015.

For this week, I used a mini free kit from Pixels and Company called Celebrate- Part 1. Didn't need a whole lot of papers or things since I had so many photos for this week.

It was a Maddie week, that is for sure. Almost all of the photos feature her! It was her 6th birthday (how is that even possible!) as well as some big milestone moments for her that happened this week as well.

Kept is pretty simple with photos and words.

Uses some of Ali Edwards' brushes this week, as usual. But not much used otherwise.

So there you go. Another week in the books!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life - January 1-5, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for January 1-5, 2014.

Since I am going back to fill in the month of January, I wanted it to match the style of the album when I started it in February.

In February I created my first Project Life pages digitally, so they were much more simple. Less more product to work with, etc.

The first decision I had to make was how I wanted the title card to look. I looked back a a handful of early pages and tried to mimic the look and style.

I used a snowflake brush from Persnickey Prints and followed it up with the same month cards and date banner that I used throughout 2014.

Otherwise I kept to photos taking up the whole "pocket", the card bases being white and minimal embellishing.

Had a lot of journaling to fit in these pages, so I put most of it on the photos themselves when I could and used the journaling cards for the rest of it.

There you have it. Another week completed! Let the countdown to completion begin! 4 to go!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life - June 21-29, 2014

Here are my Project Life pages for June 21-29, 2014.

There were so many pictures from our trip to California last year and I wanted to include so many of them, but I kept it to two 2 page spreads.

For this week's layouts I used the Only You kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Had to keep the journaling pretty basic, since there was so much that we did. Kept the pages pretty simple as well, since there was usually a lot going on in the photos.

Customized this "pocket page" by merging the two 3x4 spaces in the middle to one 4x6. Love the power of digital pockets! Doesn't matter what configuration you have, doesn't have to match the other side of the page!

Customized this pocket page as well, by switching the 4x6 on the bottom with the middle 3x4 spots.

And there you have it! The summer of 2014 is now complete.

Doing this layout really has given me the itch to do something with all of the photos that didn't make the cut! Not sure what kind of project that will be, or if I will even get around to it, well.....ever, with the baby coming and all of the other projects on my to do list!

The only pages I have left in my Project Life album for 2014 is five weeks of January. I have begun the process of creating them. I have at least created files and inserted all of my photos in for these 5 weeks.  The challenge with the first 4 weeks is that I blogged the weeks on my private blog which means A TON of journaling. Trying to figure out what to include and how to include it has been quite the challenge! For the 5th week, I have a gap. I didn't blog it, but I didn't create a digital page real time, and I can't find any journaling notes any where for it. Looks like I will go from a lot of detail to very little from week 4 to week 5!

Thanks for looking! Hoping to wrap up 2014 Project Life album soon, so stay tuned!

Project Life - June 16-20, 2014

Here is my Project Life layout for June 16-20, 2014.

Wrapping up the summer layouts from last year. After this one, the week of our trip to CA is left, and it is a tough one. Already know it is going to be 4 pages and that is only using ONE photo of Disneyland! Going to have to make a mini book or get scrapping those photos in some other format!

Didn't really need to use a kit for this layout, since I used so many photos! There were so many photos and this was only Monday through Friday! Saturday was the start of our family vacation, so it made sense, since I had so many photos to fill it up any way to stop there.

So there you have it! Another week done!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life - January 12-18, 2015

Here is my Project Life layout for January 12-18, 2015.

After this layout was completed I have completed all of my layouts for 2015, up to this point! This is quite the accomplishment!

For this layout I used the Dream Big kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs as well as Ali Edwards' Messy Monthly lines and Edge Sentiments.

Coming out of the holidays, I wasn't as good about taking photos of our everyday. I struggled filling some of the pockets, so I opted to put the book covers from my son and my book clubs as filler.

I was pretty light on my notes for the journaling as well, so I don't seem to have as much to say for this week.

Kept it pretty simple and happy to be caught up for 2015. Hopefully this will help me keep from getting too far behind once summer and baby come!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life- April 20- 26, 2015.

Here is my Project Life layout for April 20-26, 2015.

This layout uses Celebrate Life kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs as well as Ali Edwards' Messy Monthly lines and Edge Sentiments 1 and 2.

I am really enjoying the layers that are included in the kits that have paint, stitching and bits layered, all ready to go, like the one on the title card.

Created a custom journaling card using a swirl brush and butterflies in the kit.  Layered a few extras in there this week for added embellishment and color. Love how it turned out!

And there you go! Another week done!
