December Daily- Bonus day and Finishing Up

Here are the last pages of my December Daily 2013 album!

We weren't able to celebrate Christmas with my dad until New Years, but I wanted to include it in my album anyway. Sorry for the glare on the first page!

Mostly photos, with the backside of the frame and flair. Gold embossed the circle embellishment using a Technique Tuesday stamp here as well as this stamp set in red on the frame.

I used some patterned paper  for the first card and one of the few remaining 3x4 cards from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. Used a label from October Afternoon Very Merry collection. Stamped the sentiment using this Technique Tuesday stamp set here.

For my closing page, I used the SC December Daily kit's stamp set for the Joy and numbers, this set as well as this set from Technique Tuesday.

Used a card from Simple Stories with the calendar and added the Simple Stories alpha stickers for the title. Used a Thicker shape with 25 on it.

Last thing I did before putting all my December Daily things away, was create the label for the spine. I gold heat embossed December Daily from this stamp set and the numbers from this one with green ink.

And there you go. I have completed 2013's December Daily album!

Now I can clean up and put away all my Christmas stuff and get to work on the next thing!

Thanks for looking!

December Daily- Day 25, 2013

Here is page one of Day 25.

This is focused on Christmas at my house in the morning.

Used a 4x6 card from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. On the photo, used a label from October Afternoon sticker sheet, as well as some washi from my stash and Thicker shape from the kit.

Used a 6x8 sheet of patterned paper, some strips of the gold foiled paper with a strip of washi  along with the gold paper clip SC kit. Hand cut banners from paper in the kit as well.

Plan on hand writing the journaling on the bottom portion of the layout.

The second page is of later in the day at my mom's house.

Used this Technique Tuesday stamp for the banner layered on top of an October Afternoon label sticker and enamel dots left over in the kit.

On this page I used a frame and flair from the kit. It peeks through to the next page.

For the journaling card, I cut a piece of patterned paper in the kit and stamped it with this Technique Tuesday stamp. I gold heat embossed the banner and stamped the sentiment in red. I haven't journaled in this card, but it is as good as done.

One more day left- an after Christmas celebration with my dad and then I can wrap this project up! So happy to get back to working on Project Life and other layouts on my wish list to complete!

Thanks for looking!

December Daily- Day 24, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 24.

I went back and forth on how I wanted to scrap this day. I settled on the Nativity scene instead of Christmas eve pjs, because I figured the pajamas are seen in the Christmas morning photos.

Used a 4x6 card from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. Used a label stickers from October Afternoons Very Merry collection. Used a bit of the gold glitter tape from the SC kit as well. Used Simple Stories alpha stickers for the title.

For this page I used another 4x6 card in the kit as well as the gold paper clip. Used another label from OA label sticker sheet and a punched heart from red cardstock.

A holiday paired with another snow day! Just not having any luck! Slowly but surely this project will be done this week!

December Daily- Day 23, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 23.

This layout and a half is all about us baking cookings (and brownies) for Christmas Eve dinner.

I layered the gold foil Thickers over a label that were both included in the Studio Calico December Daily kit for my title.

Added a couple of stickers from the Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet and a gold sequin from my stash to embellish the photo a bit.

For the half page, I used the transparent card and paper clip from the SC kit for the first pocket.

Created the tab using paper in the kit using a Stampin' Up! punch for the tab and the heart.

The bottom card, used a October Afternoon Very Merry label sticker.

Here is the back side of the half page. I used another punched heart to cover the adhesive showing through from the paper clip.

The bottom card was embellished with a label and sequins from the kit.

Here is the layout with the half page turned.

For this page, I used a journaling card from _____. I heat embossed gold from this stamp set. Layered a photo and another punched heart and a few enamel dots to finish it off.

Bummed that the journaling didn't line up perfectly with the lines, but I am just going with it.

Only few more days to go and I can put my Christmas things away!

BTW, any suggestions on what to do with the box that the SC kit came in? It is like the SC project life boxes only twice as thick. Similar to the PL core kit boxes. May have to search Pinterest or the SC gallery. There won't be much left from the kit when I am done!

December Daily- Day 22, 2013

This is my layout for Day 22.

Kept this layout of Christmas with my in-laws pretty simple.

Used a filler 3x4 card from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. I really liked the image on this card, and was surprised that I had a place that it would fit!

For this page, I used some label stickers from October Afternoon's Very Merry collection. Also used a this Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamp (that is actually 50% off at Two Peas in a Bucket right now) as well as this one that is retired. Used some stickers from Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet. Used some tiny gold striped washi, the enamel dots, and the paper clip from the SC kit.

Something else I used on this page isn't a product, but it is awesome. It is a free journaling tool called story swoop. If you struggle with meaningful journaling, it has really helped me write some better stories for my layouts! Check it out here.

December Daily- Day 21, 2013

This is one of my layouts for Day 21.

Yes, I have two layouts once again. In a previous December Daily album, I had two stories on the same day that I wanted to tell, but I only chose one. I regret that a little, so now if I am in doubt, I just include it.

The first layout is mailing the kids letters to Santa and visiting him.

I used the wood veneer piece found in the Studio Calico kit and using versamark, I gold embossed it. Also in the kit was this Thicker banner that I used a Simple Stories number sticker to say how many days left.

For this page, I left it simple. I adhered my 5x7 photo to a sheet of 6x8 paper in the kit and added the paper clip number to the top.

This is the second layout for the day. We went to a Christmas light display.

I used paper from the SC kit and made a messy stack of mats under it, inspired by Shimelle's layouts. Used the gold foil Thickers also included in the kit for the title.

Left this side pretty simple. Just added a Thicker shape to the top of the bottom photo.

See how much I can get done when my kids go to school! Hubby has also been out of town, so m evenings have been free to work on this album as well.

December Daily- Day 20, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 20.

This is a 2 -two pager again. This one is about my Christmas card. Thought about just putting my card in a 4x6 insert, but thought using the negative of my die cut would be cool to include, so I went for it.

I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to fill the pockets for the first page. I wound up creating a title using the wood veneer alphabet letters included in the Studio Calico December Daily kit. I wrote the rest of the title by hand. I used the gold Zig paint pin to draw dots across the top cards to link them together visually since they were on the same patterned paper.

I used the December date card from the kit and used the zero on the alpha stickers to circle the date.

For this page, I cut about half an inch or so from the top of the page protector and added the tab from Simple Stories Sn@p collection label sticker set.

Used the circle sticker from October Afternoon's Christmas label sticker sheet and added it on top of the die cut negative of the silver foil paper I used to make my cards. Found an old heart embellishment from my stash from Heidi Grace.

Used some remnants of red foil paper that I used on some of the cards (instead of silver) and cut it in an arrow shape.

Slid my Christmas card in the pocket and was done.

Here is the back of that page.

Here is the last page, a photo of my addressed cards ready for the mail and some journaling on a card included in the SC kit.

I have my photos and most everything in place for everyday up to December 25. Hoping to knock out most of what is left in the next day or so!

Thanks for looking!

December Daily- Day 19, 2013

Here is my layout (and a half) for Day 19.

I struggled with a title and how I was going to layout this day's pictures. I had a lot of pictures and one was for my daughter and the rest were for my son.

My daughter didn't have a winter party this year, but I wanted to document her going back to school for the last day before break after being sick for a week.

For the title, I wanted it to work across the two pockets but I wanted the journaling for each of my kids separate. I stamped the december first using this stamp set with Versamark, and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then added the alpha stickers from Simple Stories. I  used the small alpha stickers from the Studio Calico December Daily kit as well as the chip board star. Outlined the star in the paper and drew arrows using a silver Zig paint pen.

The next page is a half page. I added a tab that I punched with a Stampin' Up! punch and stapled it using the Tiny Attacher.

I printed all of my journaling on grid paper and cut out the strips to add to each of the cards. Added numbers from the red alphas included in the SC kit.

Here is the back of the half page. More of the same.

Here is the layout with the half page flipped.

For the last page, I made a confetti pocket in the bottom right pocket of the page protector. I filled it with sequins and the paperclip tag with today's day on it. Closed it up with some Bella Blvd. washi tape.

Embellished some of the cards with enamel dots and a colorful Thicker circle to tie in all of the colors on these pages.

I am starting to get into a good rhythm with these last pages. Hoping to finish the album by next week!

December Daily- Day 18, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 18.

I had a lot of pictures from this event, so I made two, 2 page layouts for this one.

The first page, I created a banner with bits of washi tape, papers and ribbon along with another gold paper clip.  The bottom of the page has a piece of the grid paper in the Studio Calico December Daily kit, that I folded the top down to show the other red striped pattern. I zigzag stitched it down with my sewing machine after printing my journaling on it.  I used a Martha Stewart edge punch and stamped it with a Technique Tuesday stamp by Ali Edwards found here.

On the second page, I used the transparent card and used the gold foil letters found in the kit. I then used a bit of washi to tape the small photos. I edged the journaling spots with gold paint pen.

Here is the second layout. (My son's teacher and classmates were blurred for their privacy.)

On the second page of this day, I used the Elf card for the journaling (we didn't do Elf on the shelf, but I thought this card would work here.) May go back and put in an arrow to point to the photo.

Used patterned paper from the kit that I cut down to 3x4 cards and put my photos, label sticker and a word sticker from Cosmo Cricket.

The last page has journaling on a piece of cut down patterned paper. I used another Cosmo Cricket word sticker, a label and Thicker from the SC kit.

The next day is a bit involved as well, with a couple pages for the day. Hope to have it to share soon!
Thanks for looking!

December Daily- Day 16, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 16.

This was a pretty easy layout. The first pocket is the backside of the transparent card from the previous day. The second is a journaling card from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. I ran it through my printer and added gold paint pen line around it.

The photo has red foil paper that was left from the letters cut in the picture with the gold paper clip layered on top.

Yes, I got crafty this December day and created a Pin the Nose on Rudolph game for my son's school Christmas party. The idea came from Pinterest. The antlers were cut by the Cricut, but the rest of him was hand cut my me. Their eyes are super big google eyes.

Here is another in the books!

December Daily- Day 15, 2013

Here is my layout for Day 15.

The first page is the program from the Dance recital that we attended for my niece.

The second is half of a page protector. The first pocket is the gold paper, December washi tape and the paper clip from the kit with my ticket for the show. The second pocket contains a couple label stickers from the kit as well as some other stickers from the Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet.

The other side of the half page protector uses more of the same products and things from the SC kit.

The last page contains a plain grid card from my stash with some patterned paper strips and a gold star sequin on top for the journaling card. Next to it is another transparent card included in the kit. On the photo, I used a gold Thicker from the kit and embellished it with a letter monogram sticker to finish it off.

Thankful to be making headway. Thankful for school days for my kids! :)

More on the way!
