Project Life Aug 20-26, 2012

This is my layout for Aug 20-26, 2012.

I used to do the Basic Grey Kit of the Month at my local scrapbook store in California. Loved it because of all the extras that came in the kit so I could customize the layouts for what I needed. Now, however, I have all these extra bits and pieces from almost every collection they released 2 years ago. I decided to pull one out that matched my title card. It was fun to use up product that has been sitting in my stash for way too long!

This Basic Grey line is called Sweet Threads and was from my May 2011 kit.

Because I stuck to this collection, I found that I didn't use as many stamps to customize the the journaling cards and photos. I did use an Ali Edwards stamp for the "hello today" sentiment in flower sticker in the top right photo.

The days of the week stickers used on this layout were from my Project Life Cobalt core kit, back when it used to include stickers.

Used this overlay that was part of the kit on the title card by stapling it with my tiny attacher. It was the perfect size and shape to frame the date on this card!

Another week on the books! Thanks for looking!

Project Life Aug 13-19, 2012

This is my layout for the week of Aug 3-19.

Sorry the first couple of photos are a bit blurry. I decided not to retake them since I have so many close ups of most of the cards.

Had a 3, 4x4 photo insert for this week, since it was the first day of school for my kids this week.

This one shows the back of the insert and the other side.
Used an old Stampin' Up scrapbook kit for the base of these pages as well as some Project Life grid cards. Also used a card from a Mambi journaling card set that I recently found at Michaels. The set reminded me of a lot of the free printables I have been seeing on pinterest lately and they are already printed.

Here are a couple of journaling cards I created. The first is a grid card and I stamped the arrow frame 3 times in different colors using one of the Two Peas in a Bucket exclusive stamp sets.  Then I used a Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards stamp and colored the different words with markers to match the frames.

For the second card, I used border stickers that were part of the Stampin' Up kit and then used another Ali Edwards stamp for the circled remember this element.

For this journaling card, I utilized another border sticker in the kit and then a bit of washi from my stash. Used another Ali Edwards stamp set for the words and a Two Peas exclusive for the ampersand.

More Ali stamps on the top photo and its journaling card.

Used the Amy Tangerine stamp set from her debut collection using the "all you need is love and" camera from the set.

Created this week in review card using a stamp from Kelly Purkey's YOLO stamp set and the days of the week are from an Ali Edwards set.

This last card is of my son at pick up time on the first and second day of school. Used stickers from the kit and used this stamp set from Ali Edwards to create the first and second on the circles.

Thanks for looking! Finished another layout today and hope to post it soon!

Project Life week Aug 6-12 2012

Here is my layout for Aug 6 through the 12th.

Used quite a bit of the Cobalt core kit for this as well as a few grid cards and a card from Sn@p collection that set I got at Michaels (Status Update card). So happy to see them available there!

Heat embossed the "saying goodbye" sentiment from a Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards set and just used white ink on the teacher stamp also an Ali Edwards stamp.

Used some Basic Grey white alpha stickers on the soccer photo. Soccer stickers were from my stash.

Used some more Ali Edward stamps to stamp "new" and "new school". To create the triangle background, I used a Kelly Purkey stamp set with one row of triangles and continued stamping without reinking to get an umbre affect.

Used a Kelly Purkey stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for the tag and the word Rad.

For the top photo, used an Amy Tangerine flair as well as some washi from my stash.
For the completion of the Olympics, I used a dotted circle stamp found on the Simon Says stamp set here to make subtle rings on the the background for the 3x4 journaling card.
For the 4x6 I printed a bunch of tiny photos from the games in a strip and added it to the last card. Stamped a border on the bottom using a Fiskars stamp set as well as a Technique Tuesday for the top.

More pages to come soon! Finally got the pictures uploaded to share!

Project Life July 30-Aug 5, 2012

Here is my Project Life layout for the last week of July of 2012.

Most of the journaling cards are from the Cobalt Core Kit.

Used a lot new stamps on this layout. This Kelly Purkey's hexagon Love Machine stamp found here where Madeline is a robot.
Used an old Studio AE set from Technique Tuesday to make the circular element on the bottom photo.
Used Kelly Purkey's Rad stamp set here for the "Thanks so much sentiment.
Used Kelly Purkey's Hey Foxy! stamp set here for the true love and hey, foxy sentiments.
Used the Studio Calico Stepping Stones alpha for the London and a circle stamp from my stash for the rings.
Used Ali's Days of the week as well as this Feb2012 Studio AE set.

Struggling to get a layout a week done so I don't get further behind! There were 2 spring breaks, then Easter week where my son didn't have school 2 days and Monday was a snow day. The following week, I was playing a bit of catch up and then last week we were all sick.

Hoping to pick up the pace before summer break!
should have another PL layout to share soon. Just need to get photos of it.

Project Life July 23-29 2012

Here is my layout for July 23-29 in my Project Life album.

I got my hands on some new stamps and I had to get some use out of them this week! Used some older sets too. All of the journaling cards came from the Cobalt Edition of Project Life plus a couple of grid cards.

For the first journaling card and the photo below, I used a Technique Tuesday stamp set called Saying Hello by Ali Edwards. The sentiment on the photo was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. Used Sn@p alpha stickers

For the first journaling card, I used a stamp from Kelly Purkey's RAD set at Simon Says Stamp. Loving this stamp set! Perfect for my PL cards! Used the new roller stamp from the AC Yes Please collection for the sentiment as well as an older date stamp for the date.

for the next card, used some Technique Tuesday stamps Bring on the Sun for the little sun, Days of the Week, and Summer Rocks a Studio AE set.  Can't remember where the arrow stamp came from.

This week my husband and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. Used the banner from a Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Words from one of their monthly card kits. It didn't stamp well in the center but I just went with it. Thought it was a cool affect.

For the first journaling card used more stamps from Kelly Purkey's RAD set. The amazing arrow seemed perfect for seeing The Amazing Spiderman at the movies as well as the date night bubble. Also used an Amy Tangerine stamp set, Hey There for the potty people.

For the next card I used the Days of the Week stamp again by Ali Edwards and another to stamp around the edge of the card.

One of my favorite cards for the week was the one I made for the olympics. I used the Studio Calico/Hero Arts stamp set Back to School to create the olympic rings.

Another week in the books! Thanks for looking!

Posted this on the anything goes week at the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog.

Project Life July 16-22 2012

Here is my Project Life layout for July 12-22 for my 2012 album:

Used a lot of the back side of the PL Cobalt core kit journaling cards for this one and stamped and embellished them after journaling. This week was a very word heavy. Lots of stories recorded and to tell.

I had a piece of paper from Cosmo Cricket from the 23 line with all of these labels on it. I thought the grays were a good match to the title card. Only problem was it was cream based instead of white like most of the other elements. I just made sure I had enough of them that it looked purposeful.

Used a Fiskars cloud punch for the first photo and stamped it with a Technique Tuesday stamp here. Used some Basic Grey alpha stickers for the first journaling card as well as an exclusive 2 Peas stamp set here for the arrow frame.

For the second card, I used the days of the week from this Technique Tuesday stamp set by Ali Edwards that is no longer available.

Also used these stamp sets: Perspectives by Ali Edwards, Oh Happy Day at 2Peas in a Bucket, and a Dear Lizzy set here as well as an American Crafts date stamp.

On this page I used more Basic Grey stickers, and these Ali Edward stamp sets from Technique Tuesday, here and here.

Lots of typed journaling because I had so much to say. Even had hidden journaling where I used the Jenni Bowlin tab punch and stamped true story with the latest Studio AE set here.

It was tough to carve out the time to finish this one up due to the kids spring break, but I did it! Took me a while to get photos and post it on the blog though.

Have last weeks layout done. Will post it soon!

Thanks for looking!
