December Daily 2016- Day 19

Here is a look at my 2016 December Daily layout for Day 19.

The background and the striped paper are patterns from Stampin' Up! The snowflake paper is from SEI Alpine Frost. The banners are from Simple Stories DIY Christmas.

Layered the banners with the Tim Holtz metal number tag with twine. Layered in some snowflake and red sequins. Stamped a sentiment from Ali Edwards Birthday Stamp set.

I used that stamp set again to add the birthday title. The alpha stickers for happy are from an old Ali Edwards December Daily kit.

Simple layout, but I really like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Should be sharing more from this album soon!

December Daily 2016- Day 18

Here is my 2016 December Daily layout for Day 18.

I used this sketch to design the page for this one.

Background paper is from Stampin' Up! Brown snowflake paper is from SEI Alpine Frost.

On the top I found a snowflake stamp set, I believe my mom bought for me a while back and used it to stamp multiple snowflakes and then fussy cut them out. I layered them across the top and sprinkled some red sequins for added bling.

On the bottom of the page, I layered some more stamped snowflakes and layered the Tim Holtz metal number tag.

Happy with how this one turned out!

Thanks for stopping by! More coming soon!

December Daily 2016- Day 17 pages 2, 3, & 4

If you missed my previous post, this is a continuing of Day 17 in my December Daily 2016 album.

My first two children's letters to Santa are on the first two pages seen in that post, but here is my last child's letter.

When I purchased the Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection through one of the scrapbook steals websites, it included a set of wall prints. Originally the background was 8x10 and framable, but I wasn't ever planning on doing that, so I cut it down and used it as patterned paper.

I used some chip board snow flakes from SEI Alpine Frost collection. The tags, banners and red text print paper from are from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection. The green paper is from Stampin' Up!

Added some journaling strips and sequins and called this one done.

For the fourth page for Day 17,  it was our visit to Macy's to mail their letters to Santa.

The background paper was a piece from 2014 December Daily kit from Ali Edwards. I had hoarded this one, but felt it was time to use it! Thought it complimented the black with white text from the neighboring page. The red pattern is from DIY Christmas collection from Simple Stories and the green pattern from an old Stampin' Up! paper collection.

The chipboard snowflakes are from the SEI Alpine Frost collection.

Found a number from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection and punched it in a circle shape instead of the postage shape. (Tried to get that shape to work since they were mailing letters, but it just was too large for the other embellishments I had.

Sprinkled some snowflake and red sequins to finish it off.

Last but not least, the last page for day 17 was the photo with Santa.

Background paper was also from an old December Daily kit from Ali Edwards. Added some scraps to ground the photo. The snowflake paper is SEI and the green is from Stampin' Up!

I used up one of the remaining pieces from Simple Stories wood veneer set from last year.

Paired it with some wood veneer numbers from an older December Daily kit by Ali Edwards.  Put some layers under them with punched circles. The green circle I stamped stars from one of Ali Edwards December Daily stamp sets.

Since the photos took up most of the page, I tucked a journaling card from WeRMemoryKeepers behind the photo. Like how the Santa peaks out a bit.

So there is the last of Day 17! I have officially completed all of the layouts for this 2016 December Daily album! I hope to photograph and post the remaining days soon! Stay tuned!

December Daily 2016- Day 17 page 1 & 2

As I had mentioned in my Day 16 post, I gave myself the freedom to tell multiple stories a day, if it warranted it. So for Day 17, I captured the first two children's letters to Santa. More pages to come for the same day.

For these layouts, I used some leftover papers from Ali Edwards December Daily kit from 2014. The rest of the papers and embellishments came from Simple Stories DIY Christmas and SEI Alpine Frost.

The Santa stamps are both from Ali Edwards. The label was from Technique Tuesday and had a matching die, which I love.

Used an arrow-paper clip-tag from Simple Stories to put some emphasis on the number tag from Tim Holtz. Embellished with some snow flake and red sequins from my stash.

I used an EK Success border punch for the notebook feel. Printed my journaling on strips and tucked it in at the bottom of the layout.

\

On this page, I repeated the patterns and embellishments used from the neighboring page. The label, the banners, the sequins, all mimic the previous page.

Tucked the journaling also on strips on the banner by the number sticker for the day.

So there is the first 2 pages for day 17. I have another page for child #3 as well as their visit to Santa and the traditional mailing of the letters. Visit again tomorrow to check it out!

December Daily 2016- Day 16 page 2 & 3

Here are the remaining pages for Day 16 in my 2016 December Daily album.

I used some Stampin' Up! patterned paper from my stash for the base of these pages.

Used a doily on this page from my stash as well as some snow flake and red sequins.

I used some of the sentiments from a December Daily stamp set from Ali Edwards for added embellishment.

The trim is from the Alpine Frost collection from SEI. Loving that stuff! I stamped tradition from one of Ali Edwards December Daily stamp sets and fussy cut it out.

For the second page, I am show casing this years ornaments from my MIL, another tradition.

Repeated the stamped sentiments from the other page as well as using the doilies and trim.

Thank you for checking out my December Daily album!

December Daily 2016- Day 16 page 1

I know that Ali Edwards says to pick a story a day for the December Daily project, but when I have more than one prominent one, I go for it and do multiple. Especially if they are Christmas centered.

Day 16 is one that has multiple pages with multiple stories. Here is the first page and first story.

The layout design for this layout was inspired by this page by Cathy Zielske that can be found here on Pinterest.

The label was created using a Sizzix die and I hand wrote the title and added some Simple Stories alpha stickers from an old collection.

When creating this album, I wanted to be intentional about making sure the number of the day was on each page. Knowing I was going to have 3 different pages for 16, I dug in my stash and found a 1 and 6 wood veneer pieces from a December Daily kit from a few years ago.

I had originally intended to just use the small circle 16 from the Simple Stories sticker sheet from a December Daily past collection. It seemed too small and when I ran across the other numbers, I thought it tied the other wood veneer around the page.

So there you have it. Part one of Day 16. :) Come back tomorrow for the rest of Day 16.

Thanks for stopping by!

December Daily 2016 - Day 15

I am back with another day from my December Daily 2016.

Here is my layout for Day 15.

I tried to get a little mixed media on this one, being about craft days this December. I thought the green card stock was too plain so I used a Picket Fence (white) Distress Marker on the background. It was too streaky so I went back with a water brush and it helped to give it more of a water color effect.  I sprinkled some water on it as well, to give it a bit more texture and lifted some of the color that way. I added some Tattered Angels mist on it but went light, so that it didn't make it look like blood splatters, a fear I have using red mist.

I used Ali Edwards' Story Stamp for Craft for the craft title and border around the page. I used another of her other December Daily stamp sets for the messy circle sentiment.

The layout design was inspired by this layout I found on pinterest here.

Most of the paper, tags and banners on this layout were from Simple Stories DIY Christmas. Used up the rest of my brads from that collection as well.

Printed my journaling and added it as strips.

Sprinkled on a few of the snow flake and red sequins I snagged from the Target Hot Spot.

Thanks for visiting! Have the rest of my album coming soon!
